About TCPA

The Texas Crime Prevention Association (TCPA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization bringing together law enforcement officers, security and loss prevention professionals, and citizens committed to advancing crime prevention throughout Texas.

TCPA is a statewide training organization supported by a State Board and nine affiliated regions. Through evidence-based education, the Association provides professionals and community partners with practical strategies in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), physical security, crime reduction, community engagement, problem solving, and risk and vulnerability assessment.

TCPA also offers the Crime Prevention Specialist Certification, recognizing individuals who complete the Association’s three core academic courses and successfully pass a comprehensive examination.
