Registration

  • Courses with fewer than 10 registered participants three weeks prior to the class are subject to cancellation.

    All cancellation requests must be submitted by email to jkeller@ci.southlake.tx.us

    A refund will be issued unless the participant specifically requests a credit toward a future training course. Cancellations made within 10 business days of the course start date, as well as no-shows, will result in forfeiture of all registration fees.

Register

Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) for Schools provides detailed guidance to help students with practical strategies to enhance campus safety. Participants learn to implement layered, tiered approaches that reduce risks and strengthen physical spaces by improving visibility, managing access, and promoting natural surveillance to deter crime.

The course includes a hands-on CPTED assessment of a school. Students who successfully complete a team presentation and written exam will receive a course certificate and 24 hours of TCOLE credit for Crime Prevention In-Service.

CPTED for Schools Training Overview

  • Length: 3 days (24 total hours), 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Cost: $250 per participant for members; $350 for non-members (includes a one-year TCPA membership)
